Dean Moore started his excavation business in Winton in 2004 with a single machine and a simple philosophy: do good work, be honest, and show up when you say you will. Two decades later, that philosophy hasn't changed.

Today, Dean Moore Excavation operates a full fleet of machines from compact 1-tonne excavators to 22-tonne units, along with specialist equipment for grading, drainage, muck spreading, and hedge cutting, covering every earthworks need across the Southland region.

As a family-run business, we work closely with our clients to understand their specific needs. We don't apply a one-size-fits-all approach. Every farm is different, every site is different, and we bring that same attention to every job.
